Could not fight the kelp urge today. Called duane who gets to a dock faster than the SDPD to a head on apply directly to the forehead. We were on the PL kelp at around noon, where it was too tranquil. All plants and water. Green water on the south end. Lots of loose plant debris and dirt midway. Dirtying north. LJ at around 2 was muddy with some small patches of red tide. We went about 4 hours without a hooked fish, just a couple bites. Then on last cast at LJ duane kicked his skunk. On the way back birds were going crazy on pencil cudas, smelt, and some other baitfish thing. I got a cuda the size of Macro's middle finger. Would have played with that longer but had to bail. :muse:

tough day out there. but as always, it was nice to be on the pond. A+ weather, thats for sure. at least i got one to go...
