met up with a couple old surf buddies and launched from MB @ 6:30am. decided last minute to shine the MB flatty thing cuz i was kinda scarred to bump into Flowby :nunu: :rotfl:

hung a right out of the jetties and bounced jigs around some of my favorite stones in NW LJ for a steady pick on the taco meat. we filled the bag with some nice grade starries, a few barber poles and a couple chunky reds thrown in for good measure.

water was dirty green and 59.6.-59.9. mellow nw swell. grease conditions til about 11am and perfect skies made for another great morning on the water.

Yeah, well, we got out there around 3z, team grip a lip, you know how we do so we dropped on the pings and hit them on a gold hammer, some nice reds over 10 with some barbers pushing 5 - no big deal, all on braid and flukes soaked in Dan Hernandez diaper squeezing AKA DH444590. Well, yeah, had some beer too, fine, okay.

Enjoyable before I saw the asparagus. For those of us, me mainly, that aren't avid kelp fishermen, what's a starrie? I assume a barber pole is a treefish? Otherwise, nicely done as usual.

Stary eyed rockfish.

Also known as square spots on sporties.

You know why they call 'em treefish, they smell like pine.......SMACK!

Nice Red, you didn't miss anything in Mission Bay.
It was dead, tried both bridges the back bay and sail bay, Nada!
