Headed out to the playground Saturday with Oside to break in the new yak in the salt after the newly installed saltwater lines...:idiot: Weather was epic, warm enough for just a long sleeve t-shirt at 5:30 in the morn. Peddled out trolling the wrong crank cause Oside was popping them one after another with the frenzy. Got to the spots and started the fun. Bite was steady all day long with the bigger model spoots for the south bay.
Dropshot and the Reebs sandcrab on a 3/8 oz head were killing it for me. Oside was BANG BANGIN with his new juice. Hooked into the hali in the other thread on the troll in. Knew right away what it was, got it to the yak and wondered what I was going to do. Net was too small, don't eat south bay herpe fish so no gaff, forgot to switch rod and net hands when the fish ran to the other side, collapsable net that has a bungee front bar, blah blah blah. Watched the crank hook the net and pull right out. :ras:
Tried to lift her up biut only half fit in the net so one shake and she rolled out. Oh well, only thing that bums me out was the cool pic missed holding it on my yak. Off the water about 12:30 when the wind picked up. Forgot my camera but oside has a ton of pics. :Clap:
