I haven't had any bad experiences there. I hear great things about there fish market although i rarely find myself buying fish. When i do buy fish I always find myself at blue water. That place is the shizarro :pride:

I buy at that old crusty fucker Tommy's joint, C.O.P. Free tours and you get to yell at people if you want. Plus you can see where Tommy catches all his biggest fish. PL seafood has a good sammich and the 32oz beer is a nice touch. Bay park I like a little better but both are killer spots for some grub.

POINT LOMA SEAFOODS sets the standards for seafood sammies and smoked fish, they also have SOME of the best fresh fish in town, hands down the number one retail shop in san diego, bar none other they are the best,

Bay Park fish company rocks for taking a lady out, the trick here is to order from the small menu, or out of the case and have them cook it, If needed dont even order from anything, just tell the waiter what you want. If Mark or Jerry is there, let em know Tommy Set ya...

It's a good place with good food.

While you're there ask for about 1/2 lb of the "squaw candy" (smoked salmon bellies) in the smoked fish case to the right. 1/2 lb = around $15.00. If you get some, enjoy it while it lasts. That stuff is more expensive than drugs!!!

PLSF...too many good things to name. Ditto Duane: Squid Sand. is THE shit. Crab (NOT crab-cake) sand. Basic fish sand if you are in a noncomplicated mood. Then my quick, on the road gotta get going meal: 1/2 pint of tuna and a bag of chips.

Also, if you want to cook at home, grab a squid steak and a bag of Mrs. Kelly's breading mix...mmmmm.

Another hidden (but more expensive) gem is the seared tuna salad.
