It is time to retire my old 2 megapixel canon and was looking to get a waterproof digi. I know there is one a buch of guys use but I forgot what it was. I think holymakerel has a nice one. Osides turned out some pretty good pics. Not looking to break the bank on this, just need a new camera. Let me know what you know...

I use the Pentax Optio W20. I paid like $220 over a year ago. They should have a newer model out by now. I think Holy Mack uses the new Olympus.

I am amazed at the quality of pics my cam takes sometimes. Remember to always use the cameras highest pixel setting, and then resize for the web.

I use the Olympus 720 SW... Shock proof to 5ft, and waterproof to 10ft... 7.1megapixels, good enough for 8 x 10's... of course, I re-size for web postings... I had the Pentax as well, it was good in the salty kayak conditions as well, but broke when it fell out of my pocket on the kitchen tile... If something happens to my Olympus, I'd buy another... The Newest Olmpus goes to 30ft...

should be under 200 bucks when it gets full-release this year... At that price it would make a great fishing/boat camera as well. Virtually shockproof, the only complaints are ergonomics while underwater. I guess it's difficult to press buttons underwater while swimming?
You can get one on ebay via japan today for around 360-400...

Edit -- Camera also handles sub freezing weather up to -14 degrees.... perfect for a day on the mountain when fishing sucks...
