Any one own one? If so what do you think?
Looks like a good idea for deep dropping. Fingers get spectra burn after a long day in Mex:muscles:

Yep, they are the bomb. Smoother than the toriums and feel better in the hand. I have teh 30 high speed, I know Duane just got into a 40 I think. GREAT reels.

i fingered a saltist 20 levelwind a couple weeks ago @ squidco. really nice unit. i also have a 40T and i love it. IMHO its the best reel in its class that you can find for under $200.

take the plunge, you owe it to yourself

Nice reel if you are reeling rockfish, turdrollers, lingcod, etc, but lawd help ya if you hook up a big YT, but then again, you probably would be ok fishing yellers... I guess, I don't like levelwinds... :goatrain:

Thanks guys,

I will only be using the reel for fishing deep water rock species and Mex fishing in 300 ft or more.
Load it up with 65 pound Spectra and a 40 pound Top shot and wind up with ease.
The Groupers in the Sea of Cortez rocked my ass, and I was wishing I had a level wind then.
