Eron With a Toad Scorpionfish off Point Loma

A slow late Summer day pursuing calico bass with Trix Jetty Worms. This was the highlight. Eron W. and I shot out for a quick afternoon session hunting calicos, but water movement was not so hot. He nailed a fat rattler down deep. They were out of season. Otherwise this would have been an epic meal. California Scorpionfish are also known as Sculpin or Rattlesnakes. They are supremely excellent table fare and fight good in structure. :nunu:
