Got a suprise invite to fish with Smokey Joe so I took it.

SLOW.

2 of us boated 50-55 bass for the day. The daily body count continues to drop each Wednesday for us.

My advice to Dave (PRCPA) is to just head to the back of Hauser 1st thing in the morning and fish the area around the trees untill the bite peters out. Which it will most likely do by 1000 hrs.

It was ok TW action. Nothing WFO but enough to keep one interested and working. Propbaits and hard bodied jerkbaits worked along the edges of the mats and in the deeper submerged weeds produced as did a few on
frogs/zz walkers worked in the mats and reed stands.
The grass is taking over back there. I was suprised how much that stuff grew in just 1 week.

Struggled the rest of the day. Got a few slow trolling L'il Georges amoungst the suspended bass mid-channel. Boring.
Got a few working deeper water off points in the main lake (DS). Boring. Got a few useing blades across weedy points.

That'll be it for me out there for awhile.

Yeah, I hear ya. But I gotta bitch about something. Even if it's a 25 per fish day.

In the early part of the season it is diffacult to get tickets unless you know how to do it properly. Right now and untill the end of the season you can actually just show up at the lake (especially on Wednesdays), pay for your tickets right there and go fishing. That saves on Ticketmaster fees too!
Or, the rules state that 1 ticket per household. That's on the opening day of the sale only!!! Sometimes you can get a ticket that was returned or not selected the next morning.

Early part of the year procurement procedure with Ticketmaster:

(a broadband internet connection a must!)

1. Use the online NOAA atomic clock (as TM's clock is slaved to it) and an hour before the tics go on sale set your computer's clock to it (to the second).
2. A few minutes (10) before the sale starts open your TM account and set everything up to be ready to click on the date you want. DON'T HIT THE REFRESH ICON DURING THIS PERIOD!!! If you do the site will lock you out and you have to start over. Just watch your comp's clock.
3. When your comp's clock reads 190001 hrs start clicking on the date you want. And keep doing it untill you are selected (sometimes you will get a "not on sale yet" reply the 1st time) and complete the check-out.
4. Then gloat because you played the system and won.
