Got up around 730 Still buzzed and decided to go fishing. I avoid the long walk to the beach by a friendly construction worker. I climbed in the typical work vehicle with empties laying around and chatted the drive down. I thanked him and turned my attention to the water.

Conditiones were foggy, medium wave action, dirty water and salad.
Dirty water was because the same contruction crew were dumping dirt on the beach. Notice all the tread in the sand.
I fished the LC 110 candy sardine and was reward with a teen butt.

Fished longer for nothing and decided to head to the IB pier.
I threw out c rig crack at the end and pounded a beer.
The guy next to me caught a sculpin

Other than that a few smelt and dines were caught.
On my way back the DFG were checking buckets and my back pack. They asked if I have seen any poaching. I told them about the scuplin and I though it was short. Showed them the picture and he confirmed it.

I noticed these poles in the surf. Any ideas on what they are for?
The poles are hard to see. There is 4 I belive. I think they had a orange flag on top.

the poles down at IMP BCH BLVD are there to mark some equipment that measures how quick polution moves thru the water.they have a dye that they put in down at the river mouth then the instruments capture it.

when they test the water to see if its hazardous. they take a sample run it back to the lab then if its poluted they come the next day with the warning poluted water signs, which by then there is a chance that someone has been infected or hit by poo or something like that. they are just trying to be quicker on knowing! at least thats what i heard..

Surf butts are choice. I've been pounding the surf in the North County.... almost daily. So far took 2 legals in 1.5 months, couple of tail biters.

Keep fishing, the post are great.
