So i've been looking for a boat of some sort for a while now, being a student on a small budget i had get anything i could to get me out on the water. well i work at a yacht club and one of the members had an old dingy they were gonna get rid of so i asked if i could buy it from them and they gave it to me at a more than reasonable price. after blowin her up, checking for holes and leaks, it was time to get'r out on the water.

Sunday afternoon myself and a couple friends went down MB and launched, was really nice to be out on the water instead of walkin the shores for once. drifted for a while while i enjoyed being on my first boat

ended up tying up to a bouy so we would stay in one place for a while,(note to self, next time bring anchor!) and got to fish. Just when i was startin to worry about gettin a skunk on the boats first trip out...

A nice 12" Butt chomped my swimmy.

after that decided to start to head in, with the wind against us, it was definantly a long paddle back. Definantly time to invest in an engine! Was a great first outing for sure.:muscles:

Congrats on the new vessel Kai!!..just remember operating a vessel w/ open container on a boat in Mission Bay is a big no no. Just a heads up bro, don't want to see a BUI post.

Actually i was there, when i got there at 7 i didn't see anyone so i posted up where i could find some space to fish. wasn't gettiing anything so around 9 headed out and looked for everyone but i didnt see anyone so we took off. I think i might have seen you guys after looking at the pics from the day, i think i just thought it was a family so i didn't want to bother them, oops guess it was you guys, my bad.

does it matter if i don't have an engine on it? definantly not trying to get any kind of DUI or BUI, didn't think it'd be considerd operating a vehicle if there is no engine

I've heard that the 2 happiest days in a man's life are the day he buys a boat, and the day he sells his boat. Congrats though.

Your right Kai, paddling beats walkin the bank anyday. Congratulations on the first of many boats in your lifetime.
