A gentleman's 8:00 AM start time and a little electronics grief is how the day started. The "Zen Crawdad" is a fine craft indeed. With it's custom windscreen, abundant dry storage, very fishy attitude and an aggressive "after-the-blast" profile on the water, this head-turner gets it done.....

Confidence is what this game is all about. Armed with first hand knowledge, (we know for sure that the bilge pump can almost keep up with the leaking live-well system) our focus is on fishing and not some imaginary boating horror lurking in the back our minds.
I digress. Fishing was on the slow side with scattered bites at mid-morning followed by a long dry spell. Water clarity was good at 6' and stained. Considering the amount of rain we just had conditions were pretty darn good. Here's a couple of the more notable catches including a 6.2 and a 5.0....

Keeping all things in balance, I hooked these two beauties last week right before the storm....
