Took a look - LJ - 4/11

gotta call around 11am from a buddy who was fishing LJ got into a nice flurry and had 3 yt on the boat. made a call, changed some plans and we were on the nw corner of LJ by 2:30pm. chased birds, armed with 9 footers and iron. saw 2 really nice spots of fish come up, but they sank out before we could get to em. a panga happened to be right in the middle of the second flurry and they nailed a double. looked like 17-20lb fish. not much action after that... hitting it with the rest of the fleet tomorrow.

water was gorgeous.. 62.6 around the cove, 61.8 at the nw corner and 59.6 on the south end. loads of bait and life.

Thanks for the intel, how'd you do today? I hit LJ for a few hours this morning for nothing. Saw the 'tails boiling a couple of times but they were out of range.

same story as friday, minus the fish coming up. we ran with the birds for a few hours this morning.. but not soo much as a bump on the iron. loads of bait and birds, its just wasnt coming together tho. around 11:30am we got bored after runnin & gunning all morning, so we went south to PLK in search of calico... we shouldve tucked into LJK, cuz the further south of LJ we went, the colder and dirtier the water got. found a huge patch of red tide just north of hill st., so we flipped a bitch and called it a day.

hopefully we can get into something worthwhile tomorrow...
