made a run out to the big B again this past sunday. fished with levi and mason... typical first train in, last train out session. started in the back of Hauser throwing assorted TW's and blades. got some good blow-up action, but nothing would stick on the TW. levi hung a few on the blade before the sun peeked over the hill, then we switched over to various rigged plastics and continued to pick em off here and there.

at about 8am, we started to see some fish busting out in the open water, so we set up a drift and what do ya know... they wanted to bite. so we honed in on a particular zone that seemed to have consistent action and let the games begin. plugged away at them with the cranks and put 80 fish in the boat by 10:30am.

from there we decided to take a poke around the lake to see what else we could get into. motored back into PC for a couple of fish, but couldnt really find anything better (size or bite wise) then what we had back in Hauser, so back we went....

slid into the back of Hauser again around 2:30pm and found the fish right where we had left them. proceeded to put the hammer down on them for the next 3 hours. doubles, triples, followers, etc.... bass doing backflips and waves of shad running for their lives across the surface. after about 3 hours of that, we had enough and jammed back out to main lake to try to find something new. ended up flinging lizzy's at the tree line for a handful more fish to wrap up the day.

ended up with 183 LMB and a single Bluegill for our efforts. most fish were in the the 10-14 inch range, with a couple chunkier versions and a few rats mixed in. all in all, another bitchen day at Barrett with awesome surroundings, lots of laughs and killer fishing.

Nicely done gents!

Duane, at least you are getting in some licks in on the LMB by not having to go out and flounder searching for any tunners. Catching SUX this season. Ain't no $$$$$$$$ in it.

Didja use any baby brush swines?

yeah, we ran outside once this year and that was enough for me til they really make a showing. ive been LMB'ing a ton tho, which is pretty damn addicting and great way to "scratch the itch" during this lackluster offshore season.

as for the BBH's... yup, mamma always cooks the breakfast with brush hawg! been flinging the "Kiwi" colorway and getting pretty good results. digging on the Yamamoto flippin' lizards as well.

you doing the every weds in sept thing again?

Gotcha.

My baby brush swine comment was really aimed at a particular SDDonkey who uses them to the extreme thus limiting himself to other possibilities to up his counts while out there.:spurt:

Most likely on the Sept Wednesday thing.

here's my barrett expertise...

its an over-sized mud hole with a lot of bass in it. i wish someone would clean the water so we could find the smallmouth. the bluegill are big. the water is almost spilling over the dam. it gets windy a lot. beers taste really good there.

the end.

LOL!!
I've noticed that too the times I do check in for some humor. Better Duane to be the expert than anyone else over there in that dung infested, fly blown corral. Good fer Mr. Duane. Keep workin' the crowd!

And good on you for taking him out there and introducing him to the place. Now all ya gotta do is broadcast for all that are hoofin' it in the corral where we were getting the SMB 2 years ago. Then you too can be a hero to the masses.

No, I'm talking about Mr. by the C, by the C, by the C.U.N.T. and his sidekick, slophawg. Baby Brush Swine throwin', spinning gear-n- lite string usin' retards! :redi-dream:

Duane is a genuine sports personnality. Duane, can I have your autograph? Please?

I'm stoked to see Duane and Levi having such good times out at Barrett, and doing well at that.
