I took a couple of guys from work out to fish the south bay today. Chris (my fishing partner of late) and Eric. This was Eric's first fishing trip as an adult.
We drifted the usual south bay haunts looking for spotties and hoping to run into some halibut. We started with a color mix of swimbaits, and I had my usual trusty dropshot. The swimbaits produced a few hits, but the dropshot was producing fish. So I had Eric switch to the DS, and it wasn't long before his first fish was in the boat.

Big fish of the day:

I had the numbers, but Eric had the weight, no pun intended. Most fish came on dropshot grubs, but several were taken on swimbaits and spinnerbaits.
It was a good day to be BACK on the water.
