Opps I did it again!

Well since BJM didn't want to go fishing with me again.. Bry...you should have come.., and reading Duane's, and Ceez's reports for the last couple of weeks... I decided it was my turn again...

I got invited out on a buddys boat nice comfortable 46' crusier...

there were 6 of us...and plenty of room to fish...

we got out to our first spot and picked off some groupers and snappers, I got a nice 20lb Red.. So now that we got the eats out of the way, we decided to switch gears REEF DONKEYS!!!!

My goal has been to get a 50lb + AJ and I was hoping to get my chance...

We pull up to a sunken ship spot and anchored up. Soon the boat was surrounded by fish...Instantly we were all hooked up and I was rewarded with my what i came for right at 50lbs..

These are some bad ass fish...

The action was NON STOP!!

Fish were caught on butteryfly jigs, live bait and other lures, but the best was getting a couple to hit the top water skitter walk......

my camera only shoots in 30 seconds intervals..

fish ranged from 20 to 50lbs.. all but 2 were sent back to fight another day.... there were definitely bigger ones in there.

after 3 hours of this we called it a day and headed for the barn..

nice day on the water for sure...

Great report, nice looking AJ !!! Sittin' here in cold So Cal wondering where you found the biters. We're stuck with 57 deg water and 1# sand bass, hoping for summer to show up.

I say they are pretty close, but they get much bigger out here.. (i never caught a 50lb Cali Yellow) That bad boy put a hurting on me for sure...
