4 of us on my ticket boated a total of 87 LMB, around 55 mungo BG, 6 huge crappie, and a couple of bullheads.
There were only 4 boats taken out yesterday. And it was a beautiful late summer day to have the lake almost to ourselves.
The fish are just scattered everywhere. We could find no real pattern. We found them shallow, we found them in deeper water, we found them inside and outside around sticks, we found them off rocks and off points, we found them suspended in mid-channel. We never, the entire day, hooked more than 1 bass at a time in any one place we did catch them.
There are some larger fish biting now. I had 3 that weighed a total of 15.3 lbs with about 1/4 of the total count weighing almost 3 lbs each.
Creatures, jigs, larger worms and smaller slugs got bit well. We had a nice late afternoon crank bite but we had to keep moving to get bit.
Larger plastics (8 - 10 in), blades, and cranks were bit.
Definitely because of the chunky size of of the fish we boated it is still worth the $$$$$$ for admission.
I'm looking forward to fishing closing day.
