ahhh yes... back on the home turf :jammin:

i fished PL this morning with a couple buddies for a decent pick on the calicos and one nice sandy. fished there til about noon, then jammed up to LJ to take a looksie. shitty water on the north end, so we turned her around and fished the south end kelp. it was pretty much the same deal as PL... a few fish here, a few fish there... just enough to keep things movin'.

on our 2nd drift i got cornholed pretty good and took into the rocks. after a brief cussing & maneuvering match i was able to pull this one out of his hole... for a second i thought i had my first toad of the year, but instead steve cabellero (aka CABEZON) showed up to the party...

after we drank a few beers with him, we plucked a scully and a couple more cookie cutter calicos then headed for the barn.

its was a decent day of fishing despite the lack luster conditions. the kelp in PL & LJ is looking great. water temps didnt dip below 61 all day. got 62 @ greentanks in the AM & 63 @ the variety kelp in LJ in the PM.
