It Aint No Issue Rippin Tissue - 5/28/08 - PLK REPORT

got a gracious offer to fish with Big Derel on the Boy Taxi this morning. did the right thang and hung a left out of the MB jetties. buried ourselves in the kelp and threw offerings of the artificial kind to the basses that are calico...

overall tough day. there was zero water movement. i think it took us about an hour to get the first fish on the boat. after that we scratched away the best we could. i think we mightve got a dozen or so of the right ones over the rail. no real size, but not too much of a dink factor either.

we threw a lot at them today... they bit the surface iron, the weedlesss Reebs and TJW jigs in various presentations and they ate the smaller swimmies. no slug love. also, if it was rubber, it was covered in uni-butter.

BTW, heads up to everyone - came back to find all of my gas from my truck gone. I guess at 4+ bucks a gallon it was only a matter of time to start investing in locking gas caps...:nunu: Nice of them to leave enough to squeak back to the gas station. :cheers:

wtf on the gas big d... Sorry to hear about that.... It's a little more frusterating when you realize something simple like a locking gas door could have stopped the culprit. That's really old technology too. My 1st car, (vw) had it. You lock the doors and the gas door locks... anyways ill be looking for a locking gas cap for my truck as well... :gothand:

word on the street is theyre bypassing locked gas caps by drilling holes into the bottom of your gas tank. hopefully the pressure & heat backfires in their face when they get an electrical spark from their drill.

duane and andy, nice you got out. i had the same type of conditions and fishing saturday before i towed those folks in. hopefully it will go back into to full swing mode soon.

about two months back i got my bow tank drained of 36 gls right after i filled it and it was in my storage yard.

i saw that news article in the paper about that dry cleaner business in north county and they drilled into the tanks of the van to get the gas. crazy.
