I am looking to get a quality portrait inked on my left upper arm. I have some leads to hot shit artists in LA, but what about SD? Any experienced recommendations would be appreciated. Looks like some good talent in OB.

for portraits, i'd reccomend...
1. PATTY KELLY [Avalon Tattoo, PB] - Multi-award winning portrait artist. Runnin' the gun since '87. The award plaques all over the shop back it up for days. If you have the $$$, go see Patty Kelly.

2. MIKE SPAZBO [Costa mesa Tattoo]
Personal buddy of mine who done all of Mike Metzgers and KMK's tatt's. Cool dude, cool shop, mad skills. One phone call away, but its a 1.5 hour drive to get work done.
3. TERRY RIBERA [Avalon 2, San Diego] http://www.avalontattoo.com/terry.htm
This dude has the SICKEST new style outta any tattoo artist ive seen recently. His skin art will blow your mind.
Oh, that reminds me, here's the picture you asked for, can't wait to see how it turns out...

signs that tattooing is getting ooooing retarted and that I should open a shop.
Today I scheduled with Mike Rubendall at King's Avenue tattoo in Long Island. My friend Brent recommended his work, and he's awesome.
I go there and they're like "Did you hear about him from watching tattoo wars on the learning channel?"
I was just thinking, if I ever got a tattoo solely because the artist was on television, I would let every person i've ever met kick me in the nuts.
Anyway, TV is gay and I only watch laker games on it- so f-u-c-k-i-n-g no i didn't hear about this dude from the tube....
My appointment is scheduled for September......2009!
Keep is updated Bryan, be warned though- tats are like pringles, once you pop you can't stop.....well, like Beej and Osides mom too in that case.

You work out?
You've always had a way with words. I'm sure the IT nerd that is attached to that glorious example of manhood works on his World of War Craft more than his "guns".
Hey speaking of Glorious Manhood, has anybody heard from 2Bin?
