Got the chance to fish DVL today with Mr. Beauty Sleep aka Chip. We got on the water around 6:30am with the intention to search for some new spots.
We started with topwater baits, swimbaits, and other faster moving reaction baits but the bass wanted nothing to do with them. So we chose to slow things down a bit, fish more patiently and head over to the West dam area.

Chip got us started with the 1st fish of the day on the 4” Roboworm Craw in 20-30ft of water and that ended up being his go to bait for the day. I, on the other hand, decided to go with the larger worms and decide on the 7” oxblood ribbon tail worm. The larger worm turned out to be my go to bait for the day. We caught fish on the other stuff like the drop shot, senko and the 4” tube but more fish and the better fish came on the “go to” baits.

I think I caught, and farmed, more fish than Senor Chip but he still out did me with his 6.12 beauty. That fish should have gone 8lb but it was a skinny biznatch.

The little lady :idiot: is due the end of August so I'm trying on getting all the fishing in I can now.

Mine does but only when its purple. :rotfl:

Sorry, buddy but I that was teed up for me. Now to your question, no, its just a fat style worm. Honestly, the better color choices were lighter colored worms but as you can tell he did manage a few on the Black grape.
