Hit the beach around 11:00A. Launched at the MSU and paddled South. Kelp was looking bad, fungus on it and maybe dieing (?). Decided to head over to the west kelp and found a lot more life. Birds, seals, and rollers. I got blasted twice on the slug, which was totally sick!, but they didn't stick. I had a curfew today, so I headed in early. I hit my "last resort" kelp for some action. It's a little patch that always holds fish. Overall my count was 2 for 8. Those 2 fish and the slug blasts felt good, as I've been pouring my own baits. Good to know they work.
