Silly! A man can own PC's and do just fine. Your reaction is extremeth! That said, I now have the MacBook Pro and it is sick as balls once you get used to the incredibly fruity and emasculated peripheral management and user interface.

Fast!!! Renders video and graphics and sound on a level the PC requires $600-800 in upgrades to accomplish. But otherwise love your PC. They are your friends. They are the work, not the sound and screen play. Unless you need something to match your VW Beetle and steel-toed Birkenstocks.

Oh, as far as the advice goes, tell me HM, what is the model and operating system, where did you buy it, and how old is it? :cheers2:

motherboard may be shorted out.. if you have tried new batteries and those did not work, you may not have any other option but to take it in for repairs...that way they can test it fully. How old is the computer? If its relatively old you may just want to invest in a new one.

If your motherboard is shorted, repairs may run well over 200 dollars

I had the same problem, First it was the Power supply, then the screen shorted out, then windows wouldn't start and finally the motherboard took a crap!I had it for 15 months, barely used it, warranty expired!Dell Inspirion 1150, looks like many people are having that same problem. Is it a Dell? If so good luck, I'm out $1200.00 It appears that the power supply gets too hot and melts the soddering on the mother board. Good luck I feel your pain.

you may still be able to get the pics... The HDD isnt crashed so the data is still intact. I am pretty sure it can be recovered.

Guess you shouldn't have tried to stick your wang in it while looking at the naughty forum here. Oh well, lesson learned.
