Has anybody caught a local striped marlin from a kayak?

By this, I mean the way they fish the T-sharks. Paddle out, make bait and catch one. Not any of this...there's a feeder, put the kayak in the water now that I'm bit.

Just curious and making conversation.

Mr. Jim Sammons (sp)i think did it, couple times.

He is the best on the west coast hands down.

Yeah, I think Tommy is right. Jim is the only one I know of that has hooked one in local waters. I don't think he landed it but he has landed several in Mexico.
