Anyone got a good reference for a Mechanic, or reputable shop? My lady has a 2000 Accord, runs fine, but never had a tuneup. We would like to get that done.

I've been dealing with Ebers Street garage in OB for all my needs. Honest, straightforward and relatively inexpensive.

Pacific Auto Center on Miramar. Olivier is the man, they are honest, fast and reliable. I had an electical problem with my pathfinder. first i took it to the dealer, who told me i needed an ignition, then the problem persists and after the $450 ignition repair, and then a return trip which included a thorough electrical diagnostic from the dealer I was told there was no problem and then they couldn't get my truck to start when i picked it up. Only to have to leave it there for another day, for them to tell me they fixed it, charge me another $160 and then give it back with same issue the next day. Then I brought it to another electrical specialty shop, which charged me $240 and said it was a faulty relay and they swapped it out. Then I find it dead again to bring it to Sears for battery, still not fixed. I brought it to PAC and they said until, it suffered the problem they couldn't diagnosis it, but next time it happened to call. I did, they came with the tools, diagnosed it, took it to the shop and disconnected something in the alarm and charged me $90 for the hours labor, and said, I noticed you have the wrong trailer light configuration done by a VISTA Marine company and said if you buy the parts we'l;l fix that too in the time we billed you, it only took us about 40 minutes to fix your truck. I did and they fixed those too. I then referred them to a friend with a mustang that needed a transmission, and he went the three tranny places who all gave him estimates for the job, he took it over, they opened it up, said something is blocking this vacuum valve thing, order the $3 part installed it and then sent him over to Miramar Transmission for a flush and filter replacement and fixed everything for under $100. can't say enough good things about these people. really great place.

Best Auto Repair in El Cajon always treated me and my Camaro well. Harry and Bob ran it, but I haven't been there in a while so I'm not sure what the situation is anymore, but they were no bullshit guys.

WINTER GARDENS SMOG AND TUNE in LAKESIDE

The guys name is MIKE CAGLE, known him for 25 years, good friend and a great guy to work on your car/truck.

Honest, fair, and he fishes too. I have sent close to 15 people to him and everyone has good things to say.

He is top notch hands down one of the best in San Diego.
